HAITI
SOLIDARITY APPEAL
SERVE are committed to actively helping the people of Haiti in the midst of the devastating consequences of the earthquake. SERVE delivers in Haiti through a partnership with two organisations that are well established in Port-au-Prince and the surrounding areas.
The Redemptorists serve over one hundred thousand struggling people in Port-au-Prince and are responding to the tragic loss off over three hundred school children and over twenty teachers in the local Redemptorist St. Gerard’s school.
SERVE’s second partner is the children’s charity NPFS Haiti (also known as our little Brothers and Sisters) who are caring for close to 1,000 vulnerable children. NFPS lost many vital staff and volunteers in the earthquake.
Thankfully, St. Helene, a permanent home for orphaned and vulnerable children run by NFPS amazingly survived the earthquake but it’s rehabilitation and educational centre were totally destroyed while its pediatric hospital called St. Damien’s though without water and having suffered damage continues to offer emergency support to children.
Please give as generously as you can.
The SERVE Haiti Earthquake Appeal is committed to providing emergency water, food, medicine and shelter as well as rebuilding schools, homes and lives.
