About SERVE
Solidarity in action since 2003
SERVE is an Irish development and volunteering organisation working in partnership with communities and organisations to create more equitable opportunities for young people.
Who we are
Working in partnership
SERVE works alongside partner organisations and communities to support skills, education, inclusion and opportunities for young people.
Our work brings together international development, volunteering and Global Citizenship Education, with a focus on long-term partnership and locally led development.
Since 2003, SERVE has worked with partners internationally while also creating opportunities for people in Ireland to volunteer, learn and take action.
What we do
Our work
Skills & Education
Supporting vocational training, entrepreneurship and educational opportunities that help young people build sustainable livelihoods.
Volunteering
Creating structured opportunities for volunteers to contribute, learn and engage with SERVE's work in Ireland and overseas.
Global Citizenship Education
Creating opportunities to explore global justice, solidarity, inclusion and sustainable development.
Partnership
Working alongside local organisations and communities, recognising the knowledge, experience and leadership already present.
How we work
Our approach
Partnership
We work alongside established organisations and communities rather than approaching development in isolation.
Solidarity
Our work is grounded in shared responsibility, dignity, participation and respect.
Long-term impact
We support skills, education and organisational capacity that can continue beyond individual projects or volunteering placements.
Our reach
Working locally and internationally
SERVE's work connects communities and organisations in Ireland with partner organisations internationally.
Through development programmes, volunteering, education and partnership, we support work designed around the priorities and experience of the communities involved.
Our programmes evolve over time, but the approach remains the same: working in partnership and supporting opportunities that can have a lasting impact.
