Safeguarding at SERVE
Safeguarding is a core part of how SERVE carries out its operations and activities. We are committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of everyone we come into contact with through our work.
Our commitment
SERVE takes a zero-tolerance approach to safeguarding harms and is committed to preventing harm and responding robustly when safeguarding concerns are raised.
We are committed to a survivor-centred approach, ensuring that safeguarding upholds the rights and voice of survivors and victims at all times.
Who does the policy apply to?
SERVE's Safeguarding Policy is binding across all SERVE workplaces and activities and applies to staff, volunteers, interns, directors and other SERVE representatives.
Consultants and suppliers are required to sign up to the policy through their agreements with SERVE, while partner organisations sign up to the policy as part of their Memorandum of Understanding with SERVE.
Raise a safeguarding concern
SERVE employees, volunteers and other representatives must report any suspicions or incidents of harm as soon as possible.
Concerns should be reported within 24 hours.Safeguarding concerns can be reported to:
- Your Line Manager
- The Safeguarding Officer
- The SERVE Board of Directors
Volunteers can also inform their Volunteer Programme Lead, who will inform the Safeguarding Officer.
