Flipflops are the footwear of the poorest and most vulnerable in society. We adopted the flipflop as our logo to show our commitment to work together in global solidarity to achieve justice, equality, and opportunities for all.

The flipflop is also central to our annual fundraising campaign – The Flipflop Appeal. Every year we sell fair-trade flipflop pins across Ireland. These pins are made at the Regina Centre in Nong Khai, Thailand. The Regina Centre is an income generation project supporting women and girls to learn a trade and earn a dignified living. Without this centre, they would have to leave Nong Khai and travel to the big cities to find work, where they would be vulnerable to exploitation, sex trafficking, and forced prostitution.

We buy the pins for €1 each and sell them for at least €2. These pins offer a double dividend – supporting an important fair-trade initiative in Thailand and raising vital funds in Ireland to support our work across the world.
