We're Hiring a Fundraising and Events Coordinator
SERVE is delighted to announce a recruitment opportunity exclusively for SERVE Volunteer Alumni. We are now inviting applications for a part‑time Fundraising & Events Coordinator (20 hours/week) as part of our Phase 1 internal recruitment round.
If no appointable alumni candidate is identified during Phase 1, the role will be advertised externally in Phase 2.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role that supports SERVE’s fundraising events, digital campaigns, and recurring donor engagement. The Fundraising & Events Coordinator plays a key part in strengthening SERVE’s income streams and enhancing supporter experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating SERVE’s major fundraising events (Cork Marathon, hiking challenges, Runamuck, Flip Flop Appeal).
- Managing event logistics, supporter packs, participant engagement, and on‑the‑day representation.
- Liaising with an external event management company for selected SERVE‑approved events.
- Managing SERVE’s digital fundraising platforms (Stripe, iDonate, GivenGain, Eventmaster, JustGiving etc).
- Creating campaign pages, donation links, and seasonal fundraising appeals.
- Supporting the growth of SERVE’s recurring monthly donor base, including alumni‑focused initiatives.
- Providing stories, updates and calls‑to‑action for SERVE’s fundraising communications.
- Assisting with sponsorship opportunities through SERVE’s networking connections.
- Maintaining CRM data, GDPR compliance, KPI tracking, and donor stewardship processes.

Person Specification (Summary)
Essential:
- Experience in fundraising, events, marketing, sales or community engagement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised and confident with digital tools
- Motivated by SERVE’s mission and values
Desirable:
- Experience with Stripe, Donorbox, iDonate or GivenGain
- Knowledge of GDPR and ethical communications
- Charity sector experience
