Tapologo Orphan and Vulnerable Children Programme

In South Africa SERVE works with our partner Tapologo who are responding to the HIV and AIDS crisis affecting thousands of people living in informal camps and villages in the mining area of Rustenburg. With support from Irish Aid, the SDP is supporting the Tapologo OVC (Orphan and Vulnerable Children) programme – specifically in the area of nutrition. Tapologo and SERVE regularly monitor the nutrition status of benefitting OVC and the following report presents the key trends in the areas of stunting, weight and BMI over the past year. This report will be updated as further monitoring data becomes available throughout the year. To date, the trends show that the TOVC is having a positive impact on the nutrition status of children.
